Botswana Development Corporation is looking for a dynamic, zealous, and qualified individual to submit application for the following position.
Reporting to the Senior Administration Officer in the Human Capital Department, you will be responsible for providing efficient messenger and driving services by ensuring the safe, timely delivery and collection of documents, parcels, and staff, while maintaining the organisation’s vehicles in good working condition. You will be required to deliver and collect official documents, mail, parcels, and other items to and from offices, institutions, and stakeholders and maintain an accurate record of expected deliveries and collections.
You will also be responsible for safe transportation of staff, management, and visitors of the Corporation as assigned and ensure punctuality for all scheduled trips and assignments. Furthermore, you will be expected to maintain daily vehicle logbooks, including mileage, fuel consumption, and trip details as well as conduct routine vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, tyres, lights). Additionally, you will be expected to ensure vehicles are serviced according to the maintenance schedule and keep the vehicles clean and presentable at all times.
To succeed in this role, the candidate should have a Junior Certificate or equivalent and a Valid driver’s licence (Class B or relevant class), a defensive driving certificate will be an added advantage. You should at least have 2 years’ work experience in a similar role.
